Update: 1 Man Shot in Head, 1 in Leg at Mint in Garden City

Victim in critical condition while another who was shot in the leg is stable, cops said.

One man remains in critical condition and another has been stabilized after both were shot early Sunday morning at a Garden City club, reported Nassau County Police.

Detectives said the incident was sparked after a fight broke out among patrons of Mint Restaurant and Lounge on Ring Road. The argument escalated and an unknown person opened fire into a crowd of people, cops said. Two unidentified men, ages 21 and 23, were hit, one in the head and one in the leg, cops said.

The two victims were rushed to a nearby hospital and treated for their injuries. One is in critical condition with a head wound while the other is now in stable condition.

Cops did not release a description of the gunman but are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
