Cops: Garden City Jogger Struck, Killed Friday
Woman was jogging on Kensington Road when she was struck, police report.
A woman has died after being struck by a car as she jogged in Garden City Friday, reported Nassau County Police.
The 64-year-old victim, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at 4:30 p.m. Friday after she was struck by a car earlier in the day, detectives confirmed.
Police said the victim was jogging on Kensington Road near Salisbury Avenue when she was accidentally struck by a northbound 2003 Honda CRV.

The accident happened just before 12 p.m. Friday.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and treated for multiple trauma injuries, but did not survive.

Police have deemed the incident an accident and suspect no criminality on the part of the 43-year-old West Hempstead driver.
