More than a dozen Holy Trinity High School students were injured after their school buses collided with a car Monday afternoon, confirmed Nassau County Police.
Cops said the two buses were heading south on Newbridge Road just south of Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow when they collided with another car.
The accident happened at 2:47 p.m. Monday.
Seventeen people on the two buses and in the car were brought to a hospital for evaluation, though none suffered any serious injuries, police said.
Officials from East Meadow, Hicksville, Wantagh, Bellmore, Levittown, and North Merrick fire departments rushed to the scene and helped police transport students to the hospital.
A man, his wife, and a three-year-old child were in the car that collided with the buses, East Meadow Fire Department's E.J. Brennan told Newsday. All three were rushed to Winthrop University Hospital, the report says.
