Cops: Man Punched, Robbed on Nassau Community Campus

Police looking for information after man was robbed in front of bookstore.

A man was punched, pushed, and robbed in front of the Nassau Community College bookstore Monday evening, according to Nassau County Police.

Detectives said an 18-year-old man was walking on the campus when he was approached by two unidentified men. The two assailants punched and pushed the victim to the ground and took money from his left pocket, according to police.

The incident happened in front of the college's bookstore at 5:25 p.m., police reported.

Both men fled south on Duncan Avenue in a brown Nissan Maxima, cops said.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

One subject is described as a 20-year-old black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and camouflage pants. The second is described as a 20-year-old black male, light-skinned, wearing black jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt.
