Masked Man Wearing Pajamas Robs Franklin Square Bank

Masked man robbed Franklin Square bank Wednesday.

Nassau County Police are searching for witnesses to a Franklin Square bank robbery.

Cops said a man entered Chase Bank on Hempstead Turnpike at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday and approached a teller with a demand note. The teller cooperated and handed over an unknown amount of cash before fleeing through a rear parking lot toward Sobo Avenue, police said.

Seven employees and two customers were in the bank at the time. No one reported any injuries, cops said.

The subject is described as a black man in his 30s, about 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, and a medium build. He was wearing a white baseball cap, white shirt, blue and white plaid pajama pants, black Converse "All Star" sneakers, black wrap-around sunglasses, and a mask.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
