Cops: Woman Assaulted NICE Bus Driver

Woman exited the bus with a young girl after striking the bus driver in the head, cops said.

Nassau County Police are searching for a woman who they say hit a NICE bus driver in the head when she didn’t make an unscheduled stop.

Cops said the N-6 line bus was heading west on Hempstead Turnpike in Franklin Square when a woman began hitting the bus driver in the head. The bus passed a stop it wasn’t scheduled to make and angered the woman, police reported.

The 38-year-old female driver pulled over and the woman got off the bus with a young girl, detectives said.

The driver was brought to a nearby hospital and was treated for minor injuries.

The incident happened at 3:30 p.m. Monday and was heading toward the New Hyde Park Road stop.
