Police report a crack bust on Franklin Avenue at nearly 2 a.m.
The following arrest information was supplied by the Garden City police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Oct. 20
: Garden City officers responded to Meadow Street to assist the Hempstead Police Department with a stolen vehicle investigation. As a result of the investigation, a male 16-year-old from Hempstead was arrested for an Oct. 20 incident in Uniondale where he allegedly forcibly stole a vehicle while armed with a handgun.

Oct. 24: At approximately 1:55 a.m., Officer Russell observed a vehicle traveling east on Stewart Avenue pass a red light at Franklin Avenue and then stop in the southbound lanes of Franklin Avenue blocking traffic. Officer Russell began an investigation which resulted in the arrest of the driver, a male 41-year-old from Westbury, for Driving While Impaired by Drugs and Alcohol, two counts of possession of a controlled substance (crack and Xanax), passing a red light, uninsured operation and an outstanding Nassau County Alcohol Beverage Control Law Violation Warrant.

Oct. 24: Officer Caputo stopped a vehicle on Cherry Valley Avenue for no inspection sticker in the windshield. Upon further investigation, the driver was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation for an open New York driver's license suspension, switched plates (displayed plates belonged to another vehicle), unregistered auto, uninsured operation and uninspected auto. The vehicle was also impounded.

Oct. 25: The department is investigating $4,000 in unauthorized charges against a Garden City Plaza business’s account.

Oct. 25: As a result of an ongoing investigation, Garden City detectives arrested a male 18-year-old from Garden City for criminal sale of marijuana on Sixth Street.

Oct. 26: Upon an investigation, a male 39-year-old from Bethpage was charged with leaving the scene of an accident after striking a parked vehicle in Parking Field 7N and leaving the scene without stopping.

Oct. 26: Officer Matos investigated a property damage accident between two vehicles on Washington Avenue and Meadow Street. Upon his investigation, one of the operators, a male 47-year-old from Hempstead, was charged with switched plates (license plates not registered to driven vehicle), uninsured vehicle and aggravated unlicensed operation for having five active driver license suspensions.

Oct. 26: Garden City detectives stopped a vehicle traveling 50 MPH in a 30 MPH zone on South Avenue. Upon an investigation, the driver, a male 32-year-old from Garden City, was found to be in possession of tin foil and two glass jars containing marijuana. He was charged with marijuana possession and speeding.

Oct. 27: Damage, consisting of four holes, was found on a glass panel to a Clinton Road bus shelter.

Oct. 27: Lawn decorations were removed from a Meadow Street Lawn.

Oct. 28: Officer Oswald stopped a vehicle on Washington Avenue and Primrose Court for a vehicle traveling north over the center lane markings. The driver, a male 39-year-old from Hempstead, was arrested for DWI (.09 percent blood alcohol content), two lane violations, unlicensed operation and uninsured operation.

Oct.
30: A window to a barn located in the rear yard of a Second Street residence was broken open and a television was removed from within.
