Crime Blotter: Disorderly Youths Found Trespassing at Community Park

Trespass appearance tickets were issued to three youths, ages 16, 17 and 20, from Floral Park and Bellerose.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Garden City Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

July 11: A male 50-year-old from Hempstead was arrested for the theft of several pairs of designer sunglasses and cologne box sets from Lord & Taylor. Total value: $1,300.

July 12: Someone entered two vehicles parked at a Prescott St. residence and removed two cameras and a cell phone.

July 13: Officer Dallolio responded to Nassau Blvd. at North Ave. for a report of a male sleeping while his car was in gear at a traffic light that had turned green. Upon arrival at the scene, officers were able to safely place the vehicle in park and remove the driver, a male 26-year-old from Hempstead, who was subsequently arrested for Aggravated DWI (.18 percent blood alcohol content), impeding traffic and uninsured operation.

July 13: A resident heard loud knocking on her front door at 8 p.m. She then observed a male subject wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants walking across her lawn. She then heard someone breaking the glass to a rear door and window. There was no entry into the residence. The investigation is continuing.

July 13: Officers responded to Garden City Community Park at 11:30 p.m. for a report of disorderly youths. Upon his investigation, Officer Dallolio issued trespass appearance tickets to a male 20-year-old from Floral Park, a male 17-year-old from Bellerose and a male 16-year-old from Floral Park.

July 14: Officer Sansone stopped a female 20-year-old from Hempstead for speeding (45 MPH in a 30 MPH zone) on Clinton Rd. at Garden St. Upon a license verification check, the operator was arrested for an outstanding Hempstead Village traffic warrant, aggravated unlicensed operation for nine outstanding license suspensions, speeding, suspended registration, unregistered operation and uninsured operation.

July 14: Officers responded to the Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island for a domestic dispute at a party. Upon arrival, officers arrested a male 29-year-old from Rockaway Park for punching his girlfriend in the face. He was charged with harassment.

July 15: Upon their investigation, Garden City detectives arrested a male 33-year-old from Deer park, who, as a sales manager for Garden City Nissan, stole several company payroll checks, forged them and then cashed them at a bank in Garden City for a total amount of $8,596. He was placed under arrest at another Nissan dealer in Westbury for six counts of forgery and the larceny of the checks. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance after he was to be in possession of two bags of alleged cocaine.

July 15: Two driveway lights were damaged at a Washington Ave. residence.

July 16: A driveway light was damaged at a Hampton Rd. residence.

July 16: Garden City detectives arrested a female 24-year-old from Hempstead for theft of services. On July 14, the subject had booked a party of 14 for dinner at the Mint Restaurant but only paid $152 for a $521 bill.

July 17: A suspicious person investigation on Seventh St. by Sergeant Braun and Officer Touhy resulted in the arrest of a male 24-year-old from Glen Cove for an outstanding trespass warrant from Glen Cove.

July 17: A 2012 Acura valued at $30,000 was reported stolen from the rear of a Franklin Ave. business.
