Cops said the victim, 22, met an acquaintance at 2:50 p.m. on Shellbank Place and had a brief conversation before two other men pulled up in a car. The victim began to run away, but was caught by the three subjects behind a house on Shellbank Place, police said. The three men punched the victim and took an iPhone and cash from him, cops reported. Click here for the full story.
Nassau County Police said they are investigating a bank robbery attempt which occurred Tuesday morning at Dime Savings Bank on West Merrick Road in Valley Stream.
At 9:39 a.m., police said that a subject entered the bank and handed a demand note to a teller. After several seconds, the subject fled the bank without any proceeds and was last observed on foot westbound on West Merrick Road, according to police.Click here to read the full story.
Valley Stream Fire Ruled Arson
Police have ruled a fire that broke out early Sunday at a Valley Stream cleaners arson.
On Dec. 8, at 4:55 a.m., a 911 call was received for smoke in the vicinity of Merrick Road and Central Avenue, according to police. Officers responded and found a working fire at Purr-fect Cleaners, located at 38 South Central Ave. Click here to read the full story.
