Franklin Avenue Citibank Robbed Saturday

Suspect fled the scene on foot through a rear door, northbound in the parking lot.

The Citibank on Franklin Avenue in Garden City was robbed Saturday, Nassau County police said.

According to the Robbery Squad, a man entered the bank located at 1050 Franklin Avenue and passed a teller a demand note at approximately 12:32 p.m.

The teller complied and the suspect fled the scene on foot through a rear door, northbound in the parking lot.

Police describe the suspect as a male black in his 30s, wearing a Baltimore Orioles baseball cap, a black hooded sweatshirt, acid washed blue jeans and white sneakers.

Five employees and one customer were inside the bank at the time of the robbery.

Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
