The following arrest information was supplied by the Garden City Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
July 18: A rear window to the Garden City Middle School was found broken.
July 18: A 2004 Chrysler (value: $3,000) was reported stolen from Meadow Street.
July 19: Officers are investigating an incident that occurred in Nassau County Parking Field #6 where a white four-door vehicle struck a parked car and proceeded to leave the scene without exchanging information.
July 19: Officer Sansone stopped a vehicle for speeding (45 mph in a 30 mph zone) on Stewart Avenue. Upon an investigation it was determined that the plates on the vehicle belonged to another vehicle and the driver was unlicensed. The vehicle was impounded, and the driver, a male 34-year-old from Hempstead, was charged with unlicensed operation, speeding switched plates, unregistered vehicle, uninspected vehicle and uninsured operation.
July 20: A GPS system valued at $200 was stolen from inside a parked vehicle on Grove Street.
July 20: An American flag was stolen from the front property of a Garden Street residence.
July 20: A passport was reported lost or stolen at Adelphi University.
July 20: A portable oxygen tank and carrier were stolen from a vehicle parked in Parking Field #5.
July 21: Several packages left at a Fifth St. residence by a delivery company were found missing by the homeowner.
July 21: Officer Marceda stopped a vehicle on Clinton St. at Chestnut St. for no registration sticker in the window. Upon an investigation, the driver, a male 48-year-old from Roslyn Heights, was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation for having nine open license suspensions, unregistered auto, uninsured operation and for an outstanding Nassau County traffic warrant.
July 21: Officer Byrd arrested female subjects, ages 43, 16 and 13, all from Rockville Centre, for the theft of $300 in assorted merchandise from Sears. The female 43-year-old was also charged with the endangering of the welfare of minor for facilitating the actions of the 13 and 16 year olds.
July 22: Officers rendered assistance to a female 18-year-old for a medication overdose who was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
July 22: Detectives are investigating an incident where Lord & Taylor security reports that a male subject entered the store and stole two Michael Kors handbags before exiting the store without paying for the merchandise.
July 23: While on patrol, Officer Russell observed a vehicle, traveling northbound on Franklin Avenue, drive over the center lane markings into the southbound lanes before striking a fire hydrant and street sign on the opposite side of the street. The driver, a male 35-year-old from Westbury, was subsequently arrested for DWI (.14 percent blood alcohol content), driving on the wrong side of the road and unlicensed operation. The driver was not injured and there were no passengers in his vehicle.
July 24: Two dirt bikes, total value: $2,000, were stolen from the yard of a Boylston Street residence.
