Police responded to the following calls between March 16-22.

March 16: Police report an attempted burglary to a New Hyde Park Road business. The front door lock to an office was damaged but no apparent entry was made, police said.

March 17: Police report a jacket containing $35 and credit cards was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the Garden City Plaza Parking Field.

March 18: A male 40-year-old from Mineola was arrested for stealing a pair of boots (value: $130) from Sears.

March 18: Police Officer Matos stopped a vehicle with no plate on Meadow Street and found the driver, a male 22-year-old from Glen Cove, to have 13 license suspensions. He was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and improper registration. The driver was driving a vehicle from a local car dealership where he is employed.

March 19: Garden City detectives are investigating an occurrence at Adelphi University where unknown subjects discharged two large fire extinguisher systems.

March 19: A catalytic converter (value: $1,400) was stolen from a 1997 Toyota that was parked at a Franklin Avenue business.

March 20: A Itronix mobile computer and headphones (value: $7,000) was removed from an unlocked vehicle on Franklin Court.

March 20: Garden City detectives arrested a male 19-year-old from East Williston for stalking and aggravated harassment for actions during an 8-month period where he would follow his ex-girlfriend, a Garden City resident, and for sending her alarming text and phone messages.

March 20: Police Officer Wehr stopped a male 30-year-old from Hempstead on Nassau Boulevard for driving in and out of lanes without signaling. The subject was arrested for DWI and numerous traffic violations. He also refused the Breathalyzer test.

March 21: During a traffic stop investigation on Cambridge Avenue, Garden City detectives arrested a passenger, a male 17-year-old from Dix Hills, for possession of marijuana.

March 22: Police report unknown person(s) shattered a rear window to a 2009 Volkswagen parked at a Cambridge Avenue residence and removed a DVD player (value: $150).
