A motorcycle and an SUV collided Saturday morning just before 9 a.m. on Old Country Road in Mineola.
The motorcyclist was seriously injured and transported to Winthrop-University Hospital in traumatic arrest, according to a witness at the scene.
Old Country Road were closed in both directions between Maxwell Road and Russell Road while police from both Garden City and Nassau County conducted their investigation.
