Police Investigating Unusual Weapon Fire in East Garden City

Shots fired from an unknown type of weapon into Old Country Road office building Monday evening.

Nassau County Police are investigating an unusual reckless endangerment incident that occurred in Garden City Monday evening.

The mysterious projectiles struck windows located on the seventh floor of the building, shattering one and leaving a hole consistent with a shot in another. There were no injuries reported.

@Matthew Hogan, Yes this may be true, but there is something to be said of the actual building not being located in the incorporated village. Residents are very involved in this incorporated community and very alert to the local news. They pay a great deal for their services, including a very responsive police force. When something like this incident is published with the Garden City headline and not the clarification of not being in the village. It is likely village residents would call the police and mayor's office inquiring as to why action was not taken or at least a response by the village police was not made. You are correct about the close location, and it may have such an address, but as you note it is 500 ft OUTSIDE the village. Therefore this clarification let's residents understand why a response was not made by their well-funded police force.

Um, doesn't EVERYONE deserve a "responsive police force", regardless of where they live and how rich their (literally-one-step-from-the-ghetto) neighborhood is?
