Tullamore Road Electrical Fire Originated in Basement

No one was home at the time of the fire, which caused major smoke damage to the residence.

The Garden City Fire Department, supported by five area departments, brought a small electrical fire at a Tullamore Road residence under control at approximately 9 p.m. Sunday.

The fire, according to Chief Charles Cavarra, originated in a computer/electronics area in the basement of the two-story residence.

"There was a lot of smoke damage," said Cavarra. "But no one was at home and there were no injuries."
