Youth Apprehended for Vandalizing Garden City Pizza

Garden City police arrest 15-year-old male, charge him with felony criminal mischief.

Garden City police arrested a 15-year-old male and charged him with felony criminal mischief for allegedly throwing a paving stone through a front window of Garden City Pizza on Franklin Avenue Monday, causing more than $4,100 in damage.

The police issued the youth an appearance ticket for Family Court and released the youth to his parents.

"This case is a good example of the cooperation between the police department and the business community in addressing serious incidents and quality of life issues that affect the community," Commissioner Ernest Cipullo said.

Monday's incident was the second act of vandalism at the Franklin Avenue pizza shop since Memorial Day weekend.
