Garden City Republicans & Kemp Hannon Voter Registration Made Easy

On Saturdays, September 22 & September 29, the Garden City Republicans in conjunction with Senator Kemp Hannon will be at their campaign headquarters, 648 Franklin Avenue, Garden City from 9:30 am until 5:30 pm for the purpose of providing residents with voter registration forms and absentee ballot applications. These forms are always available there as well as at the Nassau County Board of Elections (BOE) located at 240 Old Country Road and at Senator Kemp Hannon’s Community Office, 595 Stewart Avenue, Suite 540.  You may call the

1-800-FOR-VOTE  hotline to request a voter application. You can also download both applications by pasting these links into your browser: http://www.nassaucountyny.gov/agencies/BOE/documents/VoterRegistrationFormEnglish_000.pdf and http://www.elections.ny.gov/NYSBOE/download/voting/Absentee06152010.pdf.

“Every year many residents turn 18, between being a senior in high school or a freshman off to college, they may not have had the time to register to vote. Conversely, others already know they will be elsewhere on Election Day and if they want to vote, they need to request an absentee ballot to allow them the flexibility to vote in this election,” said Senator Hannon.  “We just want to make it easier for people by making this service available, they can stop in any day at my campaign headquarters and pick up the forms they want and return them to the Board of Elections by mail in plenty of time for the November 6 election, “Hannon concluded.
