Garden City Village Board Agenda: April 18

See what the village's Board of Trustees will be discussing at tonight's meeting.

A continuation of the April 1 public hearing on the tentative 2013-14 village budget, tax certiorari settlements, an emergency replacement of the police lift at the Village Garage for $13,160, as well as another public hearing regarding a local law to amend the village's housing and zoning codes to establish a definition of "family" are among the many topics included on tonight's Garden City village board agenda.

The American Legion Auxiliary, William Bradford Turner Post No. 265, is also requesting authorization to distribute poppies in the village throughout May.

Garden City Fire Department chiefs, as well as line/corporate officers, will take their oaths of office, as will three Garden City Special Police officers.

The meeting begins at 8 p.m. in the village hall boardroom. All residents are encouraged to attend.
