Garden City Village Board Agenda: Feb. 19

See what the village's Board of Trustees will be discussing at tonight's meeting.

An amendment to the street lighting maintenance contract as a result of Superstorm Sandy, an emergency declaration in the amount of $17,877 for snow plowing during the Feb. 8-9 storm and bid awards for trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals and bulbs are among the topics included on tonight's Garden City village board agenda.

The director of the Mental Health Association of Nassau County is also requesting a permit to solicit door-to-door now through October on weekdays during regular business hours and on weekends between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to see if residents affected by Sandy need assistance. Will trustees grant the permit?

Find all this out and more at the regular board meeting scheduled for 8 p.m. tonight in Village Hall.
