Garden City Village Board Agenda: June 20

See what the village's Board of Trustees will be discussing at tonight's meeting.

Board approval of volunteer firefighter Thomas Fasano, the appointment of the village historian, the acceptance of a bond in lieu of the cash deposit required by village code for the issuance of a building permit for the 301 Franklin Avenue condo project and the renewal of several professional service contracts are among the many topics included on tonight's Garden City village board agenda.

Trustees are also being asked to issue a permit to New Ground, Inc. located in Hempstead, which is seeking permission to hold New School Muscle's second annual charity car show in Parking Field 7N in September. The event could display 150 cars and draw approximately 200 spectators.

The acceptance of a maintenance bond in the amount of $159,185.90 to replace water valves at various locations throughout the village is also on the agenda.

The meeting begins at 8 p.m. in the village hall boardroom. All residents are encouraged to attend.
