New Legislator to Address WPOA

Laura Schaefer to address residents at the WPOA's rescheduled resident electors' meeting Jan. 28.

Due to Tuesday's snowstorm, the Western Property Owners Association (WPOA) was forced to cancel its Jan. 21 annual residents’ electors meeting.

The meeting will now be held Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Homestead School at which time the Nominating Committee will nominate Robert Bolebruch, current trustee, as the western section candidate in the March village-wide general election.

Western section residents will vote on the Committee’s nomination at Tuesday's meeting.

The WPOA will also welcome newly elected Nassau County Legis. Laura Schaefer. Residents will also, as usual, have an opportunity to ask questions of the WPOA directors, Mayor John Watras and Trustee Bolebruch.

WPOA dues may be paid at the Jan. 28 meeting or the form can be printed from the WPOA website and sent via mail. Please be reminded that in order for a western section resident’s son or daughter attending Garden City High School to be considered for a WPOA scholarship, the child must apply through the Guidance Office and his or her parent(s) must be a dues-paying member of the WPOA for three years, including the year that the child applies.
