Reminder: Keep Walkways Cleared of Snowfall for Student Safety
A friendly reminder as Garden City sees its first snowfall of the season.
Garden City school district officials remind residents to clear sidewalks of snow to ensure the safety of students.
Garden City village code requires any property owner to remove ice or snow from sidewalks and paths within 24 hours of a snowfall, that includes any property that abuts a school bus stop in Garden City.
Failure to do so could cost you. The village board of trustees could have your sidewalks cleared and send you the bill.
