Sound Off: Bringing Back Belmont Parade

Tell us whether village officials should re-instate this component of the Belmont Festival.

Seventh Street was filled with activities, live music, dance performances, and delicious food, but there was something missing from the celebration that had been a staple in the past -- a parade.

The parade component of the festival had been scrapped in 2009, but at Thursday's meeting of the Garden City village board, Mayor Donald Brudie suggested officials look into bringing it back. (to view the full story.)
