Voter's Guide 2012: The Candidates
Today marks Garden City's annual general election.
The annual village election is today in Garden City. Polls are open at Garden City Village Hall between noon and 9 p.m.
Residents will be voting for the following candidates:
- John Watras (trustee, two-year term)
- Nick Episcopia (trustee, two-year term)
- Andrew Cavanaugh (trustee, two-year term)
- Brian Daughney (trustee, two-year term)
Trustees Daughney and Episcopia were challenged this election season by Michele Harrington and Jon Segerdahl, respectively, but both incumbents prevailed in Jan. 31 run-off elections in the Estates and East.

As per village clerk Brian Ridgway, the ballot in the machines is "all set" with the four trustees. "We won’t know if there are any write-ins until the polls open at noon," he said.
