Village Trustee Nominee: I Am Honored and Excited

WPOA Nominating Committee selects Robert Bolebruch to serve the remaining one-year of the village trustee seat vacated by John Watras.

The Nominating Committee of the Western Property Owners' Association (WPOA) recently announced its selection for positions on the village board of trustees and Garden City Board of Education.

Upon accepting John Watras’s resignation from his current position as trustee and his request to be considered for the office of mayor, the WPOA's nine-member Nominating Committee unanimously selected deputy mayor John Watras for the position of mayor, a two-year term beginning in April 2013.

The committee then selected Robert Bolebruch for the remaining one-year of the village trustee seat vacated by Watras.

"I am honored and excited to be nominated by the Western Property
[Owners'] Association nominating committee to serve the upcoming year as a
village trustee," he said. "I am confident in my abilities to serve this community
especially the West. My involvement in the community for the last 17
years has provided me with a strong background to serve this village and
understand what is important to move us forward."

Bolebruch, a long-time volunteer with the WPOA, the GCAA and the Garden City Scholarship Committee, was also recently appointed by mayor Don Brudie as a member of the village Board of Commissioners of Cultural and Recreational Affairs.

"I look forward to the opportunity to serve this community with the best of my ability. As the nominee of the WPOA nominating committee, I not only represent the residents of the West but will make sure to take into consideration all of the members of the Garden City Community," he said. "Thank you again for the nomination and I consider it a privilege to serve this great community."
