Mark your calendar for these school and village board meetings/work sessions/events taking place this week:
  • Feb. 5: The Garden City Board of Education will hold a work session beginning at 8 p.m. in the Administration Building on Cathedral Avenue. Tuesday night’s meeting will also be a special meeting to approve the superintendent’s contract.
  • Feb. 5: Tuesday is also E-Waste Collection Day in the village. Please call the Village Yard directly, (516) 465-4031/4032, to schedule collection of all e-waste items including computers, televisions, DVD players and VCRs.
  • Feb. 6: Village budget study work session #1 will take place between 7:30-10 p.m. Wednesday in the village hall boardroom. All residents are welcome to attend.
  • Feb. 7: There's a regular meeting of the village board of trustees beginning at 8 p.m. in the village hall boardroom. All residents are welcome to attend.
All meetings/work sessions are open to the public.
