September is Back-to-Business Month

Business rolls back into full-swing in September. Be ready for it.

August is winding down and people are starting to see that the end of summer is just a few short weeks away. Now is the time to start to regroup for the big push for year-end.

I always look at the year as having two beginnings. The first is of course on January 1, the new year.  The second comes when the summer winds down and people get back to business after Labor Day. While most people hate to see the end of summer (and I am among them), you can sense the renewed energy when September rolls around. The crisp morning air and the bright sunshine enhance this.

Traffic on the roads builds back to its normal levels, the kids are back in school, college and pro football games abound, and the business season kicks off in earnest.

As you approach Labor Day, take a look at your goals from January, see where you are falling short, see where you are surpassing your expectations and make all of the appropriate adjustments in your day-to-day activities so that you can achieve what you set out to back in January.

just reading Jane Goodall with my son for school and came across this quote of an amazing womanRead More "every individual matters, every individual has a role to play, every individual makes a difference." that is what makes our nation, our village so great everyone has an opinion whether we agree with it or not. It just saddens me to think some may not voice their opinion in the future because of the rather harsh comments which I'm sure were just meant to get a point across rather than be hurtful. Garden City residents are not afraid to get involved, to stand up for what they believe in and I am proud to live here.

Thank you GcSupporter#2 I love quotes! tells so much about the person and their beliefs and life...IRead More had to look up Principal Joe Clark after that....definitely a man I'd like to learn more about. I always try to use quotes with my children and their school work - I think the spoken and written word of others is so important!
