Adelphi Event to Feature Yankees Great Guidry

Ed Randall of Talking Baseball will also be at the Panther Club reception.

Yankees legend Ron Guidry and broadcast great Ed Randall will be guests at Adelphi University and the Panther Club's fall cocktail reception on Oct. 24 at Chateau Briand in Carle Place.

Guidry spent his entire 14 year MLB career as a pitcher for the New York Yankees and won the World Series in 1977 and again in 1978, when he had one of the best single seasons in baseball history. Guidry went 25-3 with a 1.74 earned run average.

Randall, a longtime New York correspondent for ESPN Radio, will interview Guidry about his career as part of the event's "Panther Stage." Randall is also a regular contributor on ESPN Classic's anthology shows and hosts the Sunday morning radio program Ed Randall's Talking Baseball, which airs on New York's WFAN-AM and nationally on Sirius XM Radio's MLB Home Plate channel.

The Panther Club is Adelphi University's primary organization for providing direct support to all men's and women's athletic programs.

Pricing, registration and table information will be made available in the coming weeks. Check back at www.aupanthers.com for full pricing and details.
