Residents Encouraged to Attend Upcoming Budget Meetings

Tuesday kicks off budget work session #1, an overview of the superintendent's budget and revenues.

Garden City residents are encouraged to attend the upcoming public meetings to offer input during the budget formulation process and to gain an understanding of budget challenges as the district enters its second year under the state’s tax levy limit cap mandate.

All meetings are held at Garden City High School at 8:15 p.m.:

Tuesday, Feb. 12
Regular Board Meeting and Budget Work Session # 1: Overview of Superintendent’s Budget and Revenues

Tuesday, Feb. 26
Budget Work Session # 2: All Non-Instructional areas/Administrative and Capital

Tuesday, March 5
Budget Work Session # 3: Instructional Components

Tuesday, March 19
Regular Board Meeting and Budget Work Session # 4: Instructional Components/Wrap up

Wednesday, April 10
Regular Work Session: Additional Budget Review and Discussion (if needed)

Tuesday, April 16
Regular Board Meeting: Adoption of the District Budget and BOCES Budget

Tuesday, May 7
Regular Work Session: Budget Hearing

Tuesday, May 21 – 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Budget Vote and Election
