Proud to be a Voter, Not a Democrat or Republican

Is voting strictly party lines the best way to cast your vote?

Incumbents and candidates alike are picking up the pace, marketing themselves as election time gets closer and closer. The need to vote and every single vote matters cannot be stressed enough. However as we head to the voting booth, we must remember the importance of voting for the right candidate.

Let’s take a moment and examine the issue: is voting strictly party lines the best way to cast your vote? No matter how one tries to justify it, the answer to that question is NO. Yet so many or us are guilty of it.

Yes there are great Republicans and great Democrats but in current times can we afford not to stop, think and to understand the issues that we are faced with?

Catchy jingles, fancy fundraisers, passionate speeches and rock star celebrity following is not the way this country became the greatest.

Great leaders were elected by smart voters to lead and deliver. Great leaders who tackled tough economies, created new jobs, defended the boarders, reduced crimes, concentrated on education and landed a man on the moon are the reasons America is the greatest.

As you head to the voting booth please take your time, get to know the candidate, get to know the issues. The future of our great country shouldn’t be left to party lines; it should be placed in the hands of right leaders.
