The Garden City girls lacrosse team is headed to its seventh straight New York State title game after defeating Vestal 15-5 Friday afternoon.
Alexandra Bruno led the Lady Trojans with four goals and three assists, while Catherine McTiernan and Catherine Dickinson each added three goals and one assist.
The Lady Trojans, who had eight different goal scorers on the day, jumped out to a 6-0 lead before Vestal finally got on the board nine minutes into the game
Dickinson's second goal of the game put Garden City up 10-2 at the end of the first half.
Goalie Megan McDonald picked up the win for the Lady Trojans.
Garden City has won the last six New York State championships and will play Canandaigua in the final at 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon in search of its seventh.
