Yankees' World Series Tour Making Stop in Garden City

The trophy – the Yankees' 27th – will be on display at the Cradle of Aviation April 21.

Nassau County will host the New York Yankees' 2009 World Series trophy for two days this month. The trophy – the Yankees' 27th – will be displayed from April 20-21, 2010 at two locations, including the Cradle of Aviation in Garden City, as part of the Yankees' World Series Tour.

"For baseball fans, spring not only means the end of the cold winter but it also means the start of the season. There's no better way to celebrate the beginning of some great baseball than with a visit with the World Series trophy," said County Executive Ed Mangano in making the announcement Wednesday. "I invite everyone to come and see the trophy and to be part of the continuing celebration of the Yankees' 2009 World Series win."
