Stevie Nicks to Headline at Jones Beach Friday

Marc Cohn will open for the rock and roll icon at Wantagh venue.

After her work with Fleetwood Mac ended nearly three decades ago, singer-songwriter Stevie Nicks embarked on a skyrocketing solo career that still tops the charts today.

Nicks will hit the stage Friday at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh following famed folk rocker Marc Cohn. Between her time with the British-American rock band and her solo career, Nicks has sold more than 140 million albums and created more than 40 Top 50 hits. Nicks closed out last year's Nikon at Jones Beach Theater summer schedule.

Still producing hits today, Nicks' seventh studio album, "In Your Dreams," was released in May 2011 and sold more than 50,000 copies in its first week. Her first studio album since 2001's "Trouble in Shangri-La." "In Your Dreams" also commemorated the 30th anniversary of Nicks' debut record "Bella Donna."

Nicks' current tour is still celebrating "In Your Dreams." Fans can expect to hear a mix of hits from both Fleetwood Mac and Nicks' solo work.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Friday and Cohn is set to open at 8 p.m. The concert is scheduled for rain or shine. For further information regarding tickets and venue regulations, click here.

From what I read in Newsday today, she plans on singing six songs from her new album. Frankly, with a setlist of around 14 songs, I can't imagine too many fans being excited with the prospect of hearing that much new music. When will these artists realized that fans WANT to hear the old stuff and we don't give a hoot about your new 'creativity'. Please don't disappoint us. Give the people what they paid to hear!

Interesting opinion. Personally, I get bored seeing the 'hits' over and over again, and would love for more artists to stretch out and play something different. Too many times I've gone to see favorite bands, and I could almost predict the set list - same old 15 songs. Boring after a while to the extent that i've stopped going to see a lot of concerts that I might have gone to in the past. Same old set list? Dull. Inject some life into it? Interesting!

I love her song Lansslide. It reminds me of myself and my 15 year old son who I raised by myself since he was 10 months old. His social life is non stop and I am wondering where the time went. Now I need to grow up and rediscover life without a baby on my hip No complaints I just wonder where the years went
