Andy Foundation Yard Sale Enormous Success

This year's event sets an all-time record of raising more than $40,000.

The Garden City community is abundant in generosity, good will and dedicated service ... as evidenced by the incredible success of the Andy Foundation 10th annual yard sale.

More than 100 volunteers worked tirelessly to collect, sort, display and sell a treasure trove of goods from our community donors. Nearly 1,000 shoppers visited throughout the day, helping set an all-time record of raising more than $40,000!

Special thanks to Jeremy Cotty who moves all our goods from the goodness of his heart; Tom Riccio for going above and beyond and then some; our Gold Sponsors: Neil & Amy McGoldrick Family, Marjorie Sackman, the Sglardi Family, Homecraft Contracting and A Friend of The Andy Foundation; and to our Silver Sponsors: Walk Street and Demarco & Nesi, LLC.

All proceeds from the sale will be used to help children in need. In 2013, we have made special commitments to Little Village School and to the design and development of a Breezy Point community playground.

Additionally, we continue our regular support of several Long Island children’s services, like Pal-O-Mine Equestrian Therapy and Cancer Center for Kids.

The extraordinary efforts of so many good people continue to exemplify what is best about our village: the people. With sincerest appreciation, THANK YOU to all who donated goods, funds, time and effort to this year’s event.

The Andy Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 charitable organization.
