Item of the Week from the A.T. Stewart Exchange: Regency-Style Chair

A Regency-style chair and accent pieces are in the spotlight this week.

This week's feature from The A.T. Stewart Exchange includes a Regency-style chair and accent pieces.

We start with an attractive, oil painting for $450. Both the subject and frame are pleasing to the eye, and would be a handsome addition to any room. The furniture piece is a saber-leg chair that has been newly re-upholstered. This item is done in a rich "wine" fabric, and it's a statement piece without the high price tag!

To the right of the chair is a lovely Asian vase. It measures 15" tall and incorporates warm red, cream and blue designs and is offered at $60. All items are available at the time of posting.

The A.T. Stewart Exchange (consignment shop), located on the lower level of the Garden City Historical Society, offers unique items for sale and is run by volunteers. Founded in 1975, The Garden City Historical Society is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. All profits go to the restoration of the Museum. The shop is located at 109 Eleventh Street in Garden City, just west of Franklin Avenue, 746-8900. It is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, and from noon until 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Parking is available behind the Museum. Please visit http://www.gardencityhistoricalsociety.org.
