Furniture pieces are in the spotlight this week.
Here are this week's Items of the Week from the
A.T. Stewart Exchange: This week's feature from The A.T. Stewart Exchange is all about
attractive furniture.
We start with a pair of hand-painted, primitive
chairs. They date from the nineteenth century and are in excellent
condition. The paint on each chair is still very vibrant and the rush
seats are in great shape. The pair is being offered at $300. The
table between the chairs is solid cherry, has a soft, warm finish to the
wood, and is priced at $125. Our accessories include a Ruby glass,
table lamp for only $30, a Ruby, saw-tooth edge bowl priced at $12
and a milk glass, heart-shaped dish for $18. All items are available
at the time of posting.
The A.T. Stewart Exchange (consignment shop), located on the lower
level of The Garden City Historical Society, offers unique items for
sale and is run by volunteers. Founded in 1975, The Garden City
Historical Society is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. All profits
go to the restoration of the Museum. The shop is located at 109
Eleventh Street in Garden City, just west of Franklin Avenue,
516.746.8900.
It is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m Tuesdays through Fridays and from 12
noon to 4 p.m on Saturdays. Parking is available behind the Museum. Visit the Society's website at
