Items of the Week from the A.T. Stewart Exchange: Furniture

The occasional chairs are newly reupholstered and the table boasts a hand-painted motif.

This week The A.T. Stewart Exchange is featuring an attractive furniture grouping of two, matching chairs and a table.

The occasional chairs are newly reupholstered, have a dramatic look, high backs and are priced at $75 each. The table is a sweet piece with a hand-painted motif on the top and is priced at only $30. The accessories include a brass buffet lamp (there are two of them and are priced at $75 per pair) and a Westmoreland, argonut covered dish for $36. There's a 2' x 3' needlepoint rug for $40 and a beautifully-framed painting for $75. All items are available at the time of posting.

The A.T. Stewart Exchange (consignment shop), located on the lower level of the Garden City Historical Society, offers unique items for sale and is run by volunteers. Founded in 1975, The Garden City Historical Society is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. All profits go to the restoration of the Museum. The shop is located at 109 Eleventh Street in Garden City, just west of Franklin Avenue, 746-8900. It is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and Saturdays from noon until 4 p.m. Parking is available behind the Museum.
