Underage In The Cage to Help Raise Money for Charlie’s Champions

Newest fund-raiser is 13-year-old Mairead Pfaff, a seventh grader at Garden City Middle School and a friend of Charlie Schmitt.

On Friday, March 23, children of all ages will come together for Charlie’s Champions’ annual Underage In The Cage at the Cherry Valley Club. They will help raise money for Charlie’s Champions while enjoying an afternoon of paddle, pizza, dancing and great raffle prizes.

Each year, more and more children are getting involved and raising money in many different ways. Charlie’s Champions' newest fund-raiser is 13-year-old Mairead Pfaff, a seventh grader at Garden City Middle School and a friend of Charlie Schmitt.

In 2009, she started “Ribbon Creations,” a company that makes custom hair ribbons that are sold in local stores. She will be making and donating hair streamers and bows especially designed for Charlie’s Champions. They will be sold at Underage In The Cage and Rage In the Cage. Mairead sees this as an amazing opportunity to help out the Charlie’s Champions Foundation.
