Joint PTA Meeting, E-Waste Collection This Week

What's on tap this week in Garden City.

Garbage Collection: In order to assist with garbage collection on Monday and Tuesday village officials ask that residents clear a path to the collection area otherwise residents are asked to bring the garbage containers to the curb for collection.

E-Waste: Call the Village Yard directly to schedule collection of all e-waste items like computers, televisions, DVD players and VCRs. Collection day is Tuesday, Jan. 7 (and again Thursday, Jan. 23).

Joint PTA Meeting
: This special GCPTA meeting Wednesday, Jan. 8, is filled with valuable information for your children, as young as fourth grade. Representatives of Garden City Middle and High schools, as well as GCPTA committees will be in attendance. Among the speakers will be Bob Wolf, who will present "Hope Skills." The meeting will be held in the GCHS music wing in three sessions: 7-7:30 p.m., 7:45-8:15 p.m. and 8:30 to 9 p.m. For details, click here.

Recreation Commission Meeting: The Recreation Commission meets Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 7 :30 p.m. at the senior center at St. Paul's to discuss a full agenda.

Planning Commission Meeting: The Planning Commission meets Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the village hall boardroom to discuss a full agenda.

Traffic Commission Meeting: The Traffic Commission meets Thursday, Jan. 9, at 7 p.m. in the village hall boardroom to discuss a full agenda.

Village Board Meeting: The village board of trustees meets Thursday at 8 p.m. in the village hall boardroom to discuss a full agenda.
