Visit With Santa, Donate Toys This Week

What's on tap this week in Garden City.

Visit With Santa: Santa will visit the Recreation Office at 108 Rockaway Avenue for visits and photos on Monday, Dec. 17 (and again on Thursday, Dec. 19) from 3-4:15 p.m. The Recreation Department staff will be available to take and print photos. There is no fee for a photo but a donation of a small gift for Toys for Tots would be appreciated.

Film Screening
: The Anonymous People Special Film Screening will take place Wednesday, Dec. 18 from 6-9 p.m. at Adelphi University. A feature documentary film about the 23.5 million Americans living in long-term recovery, and the emerging public recovery movement that will transform how alcohol and other drug problems are dealt with in local communities. Leaf Collection
: Please be advised that the village's leaf collection resumes in the western section and will then move to the Estates section toward the middle of this week.

ADRB Meeting
: The Architectural Design Review Board will meet Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 8 p.m. in the village hall boardroom to discuss a full agenda.

Village Board Meeting
: The Garden City Board of Trustees will meet Thursday, Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. in the village hall boardroom to discuss a full agenda.

Toys For Tots Program: 
The Garden City Police Department has been designated as a gift depository for the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Toys for Tots Program. Drop off an unused, unwrapped gift into the collection box in the lobby of the Garden City Police Department by Dec. 19.
