Winter Art Show, Dance Adelphi, Christmas Tree Lighting This Week

Winter Art Show: The Art League of Nassau County will present “A Winter Art Show” in the Garden City Public Library’s gallery and showcases Dec. 2–Jan. 2, 2014. The mixed media show will feature oil paintings, pastels, watercolors, sculpture and more by talented artists. Special Library Board Meeting: There will be a special meeting of the Board of Library Trustees on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m. at the St. Paul’s Senior Center, 108 Rockaway Avenue, to discuss the Library budget and staffing. The meeting may move into executive session to discuss personnel issues.

Village Tree Lighting Ceremony: The 59th annual village tree lighting ceremony is set for Sunday, Dec. 8, between 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the Village Gazebo.
