Hurricane Grill & Wings Opens

Can you handle a Category 5? Wing sauce that is.

Because Hurricane Grill & Wings has more than 30 flavors that offer varying degrees of heat, rated by hurricane categories.

The Florida-based restaurant chain opened its fifth Long Island location Monday in Garden City.

Franchisee Bob Engel operates both this and the Syosset locations. Of Monday's opening, Engle said it has been one of the smoothest days he has seen yet.

"So far, everyone who has come through today has loved the food and casual, island atmosphere," he added. "We are really looking forward to offering Garden City residents a new spot to enjoy good food and family.”

Hurricane also operates has locations in Levittown, Hauppauge and Port Jefferson.

"The island-inspired, family-friendly restaurant will offer over 30 outstanding flavors of wings to choose from and an assortment of delectable appetizers, sliders, wraps, burgers, seafood and Mexican options," according to a press release.

The restaurant is located at 630 Stewart Ave. Tin Alley Grill formerly was at this location.
