CAFÉ ABLAZE Fall Blend:Firestone Opera & Dahl Country Gospel

CAFÉ ABLAZE, Lutheran Church of the Resurrection’s Christian Coffeehouse, will serve light opera and country gospel music onstage Sat., Sept. 21, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. The opera will be courtesy of Doreen Firestone, whose mezzo-soprano voice will regale listeners with songs she wrote and performs in her one-woman off-Broadway play, “The Prodigal Daughter.” Patti Dahl & Heartsong, the female duo that includes Dee Eggert, will serve upbeat country gospel like they have on radio stations worldwide and on TBN’s Praise The Lord show.

Consider joining emcee Pastor Jeff Browning and CAFÉ ABLAZE’s many volunteers for this musical blend the first evening of fall. Seating is at candlelit tables just below the stage, a generous selection of self-service coffee, tea, and desserts are available, and Intermission includes door prize drawings for Christian-themed gifts.  Reservations are suggested and can be made through Lori at cafeablaze@resgc.org, accessible via www.resgc.org/cafe-ablaze. Tickets, $10 each or two for $15, are sold at the door. Children age 12 and under are admitted free if accompanied by an adult. A separate freewill offering is collected for the talent.
