Island Harvest Food Drive Returns to GC Pool
Donate canned goods or make a monetary donation July 25-28.
The Garden City Pool is joining pools across Long Island this week to help neighbors in need.
Garden City Pool Cares Weekend, now in its fourth year, kicks off Thursday. Pool members and guests are encouraged to donate canned goods and non-perishable items or make a make a monetary donation at the Pool Office July 25-28.
All food and funds collected assist Island Harvest's Make A Splash Food Drive Challenge. A collection box will be located in the pool lobby.
The Pool, which has collected thousands of pounds of food for the less fortunate over the years, has been giving out brown paper bags and flyers to help promote the food drive, which ties into its Christmas in July program.
