The Western Garden City Property Owners' Association (WPOA) welcomed residents and friends to the the annual tree lighting ceremony Dec. 13 at the New Hyde Park Road shopping district.
To make the evening glitter, dancers from Broadway Bound performed several routines and Christmas tunes were sung by two talented young ladies, Gabriella Pulice and Alessandra Mannino.
Special thanks go to Ernie, owner of Gallery Pizza, for supplying the sound system and keeping the Christmas tree aglow throughout the season.
Thanks go to Christine Bernhard, the new owner of Honestly Delicious, who offered hot chocolate to all, and to Santa Claus, dashing in on a shiny, red fire truck to make a special appearance.
WPOA director Maureen Lyons coordinated the event.
