Cops: Armed Robbery at Red Roof Inn
Man and woman robbed at gunpoint in parking lot of East Garden City hotel Wednesday morning, police reported.
A man and a woman were robbed at gunpoint at the Red Roof Inn Wednesday morning, according to Nassau County Police.
Detectives said they are searching for information on the crime, which happened at 6:10 a.m. in the hotel's parking lot.
According to police, a 23-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man were standing in the parking lot when an man armed with a handgun approached them. That subject pushed the woman to the ground and took her cell phone, cops said. A second man took a watch and a wallet containing personal papers and cash from the male victim, police reported. The second subject reportedly did not have a weapon, reports stated.

The two subjects escaped onto Dibblee Drive in a "new model" black Chevrolet Camaro, detectives said.
No one was injured in the incident, cops reported.
