Cops: Bronx Man Responsible for Vehicle Larcenies

Police nabbed Steven Washington as he was reporting to his parole officer in Brooklyn.

A Bronx man is responsible for numerous larcenies from vehicles in the village in August and September, Garden City police said.

Steven Washington, 26, was arrested Sept. 6 and was also charged with the theft of credit cards from one vehicle and the theft of bank checks from another vehicle.

Garden City detectives said Washington also committed forgery when he cashed three of the stolen checks for $1,800.

Police nabbed him as he was reporting to his parole officer in Brooklyn.
