GCFD to Hold 9/11 Remembrance Service Wednesday
Special ceremony will pay tribute to those fallen, mark the twelfth anniversary of the terrorist attacks.
To commemorate the twelfth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, the Garden City Fire Department will hold a ceremony of remembrance Wednesday on the Village Green (corner of Stewart and Hilton Avenues) to pay tribute to the fallen members of the Garden City community.
Formal services are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
The names of the 23 residents who perished will be read during the ceremony. Their names are etched in the memorial monument stone on the Village Green:
