GCPD, With Help From Adelphi Security, Nab Bike Bandit

Franklin Square man was apprehended on Cambridge Avenue after a brief chase.

After a brief chase on Cambridge Avenue, a 43-year-old Franklin Square man was apprehended by police after an Adelphi University Public Safety Officer observed him steal a bicycle on campus, according to Garden City police.

Raymond Henry was in possession of bolt cutters and was charged with possession of burglar tools at the time of his arrest on Aug. 30, according to a Garden City police report.

Upon further investigation, Garden City police charged Henry with 11 additional previous cases of stolen bicycles in the village, including two others from the Adelphi campus.

The arrest information was supplied by the Garden City Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
