Novita Purse Snatcher Caught
Garden City detectives arrested a Freeport man in connection with the March 1 crime.
A 36-year-old Freeport man was arrested Friday in connection with a purse snatching at Novita, Garden City police said.
According to reports, the man stole a pocketbook from a patron of the Franklin Avenue restaurant at approximately 12:28 a.m. March 1 and fled the scene in an unknown direction.
The purse contained money, credit cards and other assorted personal belongings, police said.
